“While the primitives are evolving, the homosapiens are regressing”

As I was passing by, I saw this mammal fulfilling the thirst – IRONICAL, it was.

In the grand modern era, as humanity continues to advance technologically, it seems to regress morally, emotionally, and in the aspect of common sense. The so-called “primitive” tribes, once seen as unrefined, are evolving in their wisdom of coexistence, empathy, and balance with nature. Meanwhile, we, the ‘Homo sapiens’—who pride ourselves on reason and progress—are losing our moral compass amid ego-driven pursuits.

In earlier eras, moral values anchored human relationships. Respect for elders, gratitude, honesty, and community bonds formed the essence of living. Today, materialism overshadows meaning. Studies show that over 80 percent of people across nations believe society’s moral values are in decline, reflecting not just nostalgia but a tangible loss of empathy and trust. The race for success has eroded conscience—families are fractured and compassion has become performative.

The ego thrives in the virtual world, feeding on likes and validation. People argue without listening, flaunt achievements without humility, and mistake arrogance for confidence. This inflated self-importance blinds reason and corrodes the moral fabric.

Contrast this with “primitive” societies that live by cooperation rather than competition. Their progress lies in grounded ethics. They share resources, respect the ecosystem, and value collective well-being—qualities modern humans are steadily abandoning.

The irony is profound: the more advanced Homo sapiens become in intellect, the poorer they grow in intuition and morality. True evolution is not about speed or sophistication—it is about sustaining dignity, empathy, and wisdom. The primitives, in preserving their humanity, are indeed evolving; and we, in our arrogance, are unlearning what it means to be truly human.
